Timbecon proudly presents WOODSTOCK

Hey there all you middle men, throw away those golf clubs and fancy clothes. It’s time for WOODSTOCK

During  the 3 days of the WA WOOD Show – WOODSTOCK will be presenting –  3 live woodworking demonstrations of 90 minutes each per day at each of the 3 workshops.

That’s 9 demonstrations each day, with a total of 27 demonstrations over the 3 days of WOODSTOCK. Between demonstration take a break and chat to demonstrators, peruse the rest of the WA Wood Show or go grab a snack & coffee.

WOODSTOCK also includes a Meet and Greet area where twice a day show punters can sit and chat with our visiting woodworking celebrities.

WOODSTOCK is an opportunity for WA woodworkers to experience a new type of woodworking event. WOODSTOCK features craftsman and author Matt Kenney from the USA, alongside the Minimalist Woodworker Vic Tesolin from Canada – courtesy of Wood Dust Australia.

WOODSTOCK features 3 workshop spaces with video and audio support, and seating for participants.

About Matt Kenney

Matt Kenney is an internationally recognised craftsman, educator and author. During the last 10 years, he has focused on making decorative boxes and small tea cabinets, which led him to the Japanese wood art of Kumiko. Matt is also the author of 52 Boxes in 52 Weeks (Taunton Press), a book chronicling his successful attempt to design and make 52 boxes during the course of a year. Matt lives and works in Connecticut with his two children.

About Vic Tesolin

Vic Tesolin is one busy guy. You can usually find him in the shop building furniture or in front of his computer writing articles for various publications around the globe. He’s the author of The Minimalist Woodworker, a book that encourages people who can’t run machines because of noise, dust, lack of space or budget, to woodwork with hand tools. With a follow up book in the hopper, he should manage to stay out of trouble for a while … or not.

WOODSTOCK is a woodworking experience Australian woodworker’s will not want to miss. The full program and tickets will be released very soon, tickets are strictly limited to 125 per day and available from the Timbecon website. Register your interest and ensure you don’t miss out. Once at the event, participants may select their own program of demonstrations throughout the and participants all receive a show bag filled with products provided by sponsors, supporters and demonstrating suppliers. WOODSTOCK participants may also enter the Perth Wood Show at no extra charge. Entry to the Meet and Greet area at WOODSTOCK is free to all Wood Show attendees.
